This year’s Vuelta was marked by shortened stages, protests, and chaos, but riding calmly in the eye of the storm was the unshakeable Jonas Vingegaard. After re-taking the red jersey on Stage 10, Jonas defended it against attack after attack, including on the feared Angliru climb. The race also produced one of the most memorable podiums in history, with the riders gathering in a car park, standing atop coolers on a makeshift podium, and rinsing each other with champagne.
